Robert Hutchens
Bio
Robert Hutchens has acted in or directed well over 150 plays. He worked with the Hunter Hills Theatre, Gatlinburg, TN (resident actor, company manager); Playhouse-on-the Square, Memphis (resident. actor); The Everyman Players, New Orleans (resident actor); Bijou Arts Center (resident actor, teacher, artistic director); the Clarence Brown Company (founding member, actor, appearing with Eva LeGallienne and Earl Hyman, and marketing director); and the Clayton Center for the Arts (executive director). Since coming to Huntington, he has appeared in Brigadoon, As You Like It, August, Osage County; Glengarry Glen Ross, A Catered Affair, The Odd Couple, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and Twelfth Night, and has taught theatre at Marshall University. In the spaces of his life not devoted to theatre, he has been an international educator as teacher, administrator, and recruiter.
