Bio

Joanna Murdock was born in Ashland, Ky. She developed an interest in the arts at a young age, taking art and dance classes. Around age 13 she auditioned for her first “real” production with ACTC children's theatre. Joanna continued to act throughout the rest of her K-12 school years, partaking in many productions, workshops, auditions and classes that would eventually cement her plans to major in theatre in college. She graduated from UK with a BFA in acting. She stayed in Lexington, KY for a few years post-graduation to audition and participate in local theatre. Just before moving back to Ashland, she traveled with a production of Dracula to participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. She has participated in theatre and film across the tri-state area, touring educational shows, recording commercials and promotional videos, and appearing in productions big and small. She is a member of AEA EMC.
