Bio

Growing up in Huntington, West Virginia, Katie Blankenship has always been surrounded by the arts. When she was younger, she participated in many productions with First Stage Theatre Company, such as It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Superman and Little Women the Musical. At Cabell Midland High School, she was a member of the Rhythm in Red show choir and Collegium Musicum before she graduated in 2019. Through this, she participated in four years of All County and All State Chorus and had the opportunity to participate in the WV ACDA Honor choir. Keeping her interest in vocal performance, she was awarded a choral scholarship to attend University of Charleston as a member of both of their exclusive choirs. In 2021, however, Katie transferred to Marshall University, where she is pursuing a BA in Political Science and History. It has been several years since she was on the stage, but Katie is super excited for her first role with Alchemy Theatre and hopes for more in the future!
