Chuck Herndon

Bio

Chuck Herndon started his acting career with Huntington Outdoor Theatre at the age of 10, and it’s been threatening to ruin his life ever since. After spending his youth doing multiple shows each year in community theatre with H.O.T., First Stage Theatre Company, ARTS, and Cabell Midland High School, he decided to waste his parents’ money on a theatre degree from Marshall University, which lead to 4 of the best years of his life doing plays for directors Jack Cirillo and Gene Anthony. After college, having been fully deluded by all the great roles he got at Marshall, Chuck decided he was ready to make it in Hollywood (spoiler: he wasn’t.) Over the next few (way too many) years, Chuck bounced around LA working restaurant jobs, getting rejected, and generally living that aspiring actor life. He acted in a few short films and indie pilots, which you haven’t seen (you don’t want to). The highlights of these years were his opportunities to work with legendary acting coach Larry Moss, and his protégé Lisa Robertson, both of whom coach some of the greatest actors in the business. The Covid-19 pandemic provided the perfect cover for Chuck to cut his losses and retreat back to Barboursville, where he now works for his father’s financial planning practice. Since theatre is an addiction he just can’t seem to kick, he now finds himself right back on the stages where it all began back at 10 years old, and he couldn’t be happier.
