Gene Anthony
Bio
Mr. Anthony embarked on a professional acting career. He has been a member of Actors Equity, The Screen Actors Guild, and the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists. (Equity, SAG, AFTRA) for over 50 years. His resume includes 8 years as a resident member of the Goodman Theatre Company, and a 12 year NYC career that includes 3 Broadway Shows, 2 Off-Broadway productions, and some 40 shows in regional theatres across the country. Also over 100 national radio and television voice over and on camera commercials. He is probably most recognized as Stan Ulatowski in his 3 year stint on "All My Children" and Gruppenfuehrer in "The Blues Brothers." He then embarked on an academic career as a faculty member in the Theatre Department at Marshall University and directed some 40 productions in his 18 year career. He retired from Marshall in 2010 as a Professor Emeritus. He joined the ranks of community theatre first at Arts Resources fro the Tri-State and now currently with the Alchemy Theatre. He has said, "I'm 81 and I love the life with which I have been blessed."
