Stuart Frazier
Bio
Stuart Frazier is an actor, director, producer, and podcaster in Charleston, WV. He is the founder and creative director of local theater group, Black Empire Productions, where he makes space for African-American artists to create art and express themselves fully and authentically. His most recent productions have been the Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Fairview," written by Jackie Sibblies Drury, “Black Women Supreme,” a celebration of black women through poetry and spoken word, and “The Colored Museum,” a satirical play of stereotypes. Stuart has starred in local productions such as “Othello,” “Superior Donuts,” “A Raisin in the Sun,” and many more. He also performed as a member of West Virginia’s premier improv comedy troupe, State 35 (formerly No Pants Players). Stuart is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is married to Bunmi Kusimo-Frazier, and they have one daughter, Naomi.
