Jeffrey Ruff
Bio
Jeffrey is new to Alchemy Theatre, and he is happy to be returning to the stage after many years away. In youth performance troupes, school, community, and university theatre he performed in plays, musicals, bands, and competitions—including leads in Little Foxes, The Happiest Days of Your Life, Fiddler on the Roof, the Odd Couple, as well as others. He has a BA and MA from Missouri State University and a PhD from the University of California. He is a Professor at Marshall University in the Humanities Department. With his university students, he has performed in and done public readings of several Greek, Latin, and Sanskrit dramas and epics such as Oedipus the King and Lysistrata; and he has been a contributor to Marshall’s annual Multimedia Show: BodyShots.
Jeffrey lives in Huntington with several charming and wondrous creatures, including his wife Kemble, his children Lydia and Samuel, his mother, Linda, and assorted animal friends, including cats, axolotls, and others.
