Bio

Joan Cochran McPherson is actually more accustomed to experiencing the excitement of the theatre from the dark side of the footlights. When Mike Murdock said the only prerequisite for this production was being able to read, she knew she was qualified. Joan has been reading for more than half a century and reading aloud for more than half of that as a mother, teacher and elementary school librarian. Although for most of her career her audiences have been under the age of 12, she has performed for adults in New Works Festivals with both Arts Resources for the Tristate and Alchemy Theatre. Without a doubt her best productions are, and always will be, Alex and Katie.
